The Greek Golden Visa Program is an important investment program that provides non-EU citizens with an indefinite residence permit if they make an investment in Greece as determined by law.
If one of the investment instruments determined by law is owned: the investor, the investor's spouse (if any) and children up to the age of 21, the investor's mother and father, the investor's spouse's mother and father (if any).
The residence permit right is granted for a period of five years together with the Blue Card. You can obtain a Golden Visa by purchasing a property in Greece in accordance with the following criteria:
Real Estate Investment Limits
EUR 800,000: Purchase of a property of at least 120 square meters in the provinces of Athens, Thessaloniki, Piraeus and islands with a population of over 3,100 with a minimum investment of EUR 800,000;
EUR 400,000: Purchase of a property of at least 120 square meters in places other than the regions specified above with a minimum investment of EUR 400,000;
EUR 250,000: Purchase of a commercial property converted to residential or commercial property converted to residential in any region of Greece, without any area or square meter restrictions;
EUR 250,000: Purchase of a historical building in any region of Greece, without any area or square meter restrictions, and renovation and opening for use within five years at the latest.
Other Investment Limits
START-UP INVESTMENT: If you establish a start-up with a minimum investment of EUR 250,000 or invest in an existing start-up, you will be eligible for a Golden Visa.
DEPOSIT INVESTMENT: A fixed-term deposit investment of EUR 500,000 in a Greek bank.
CAPITAL INVESTMENT: A capital investment of EUR 500,000 in a public limited real estate investment company investing exclusively in Greece.
EUROBOND INVESTMENT: Purchase of Greek government bonds worth at least EUR 500,000 with a remaining maturity of at least three years through a Greek credit institution.
BOND INVESTMENT: Purchase of shares, corporate bonds or Greek government bonds traded on regulated Greek markets or multilateral trading facilities worth at least EUR 800,000.
STOCK INVESTMENT: Purchase of a stock for a minimum of 350,000 Euros.
